From:  Minnesota Neuropathy Association (MNA) Board
Re:  Future of MNA

Dear Members,

It is with much sadness and with a heavy heart that this letter is being sent to our members.  We had a Board meeting recently, with a lengthy discussion as to how we could continue to move forward with the MNA support group organization.  But we could not determine a way to continue.

Our Board is down to seven members, which is really not enough to handle all the things that need to be done.  For the last two years we have asked, in both the newsletter and at our meetings, for individuals to serve on the Board, and be mentored to take on a leadership role.  We have not found that person/s.  Myron (treasurer) and Lois have been on the Board since 2001, and Lois has been chair since 2006, and many of our other Board members have served for many years.

Our website (www.neuropathy-mn.org) will be available with past newsletters and links to various articles.  Please also check the website of the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy for additional information at: www.foundationforpn.org.  If you join their organization with dues at $35 a year, you have access to their publications and helpful tips.

Yes, this is a very sad time for all of us.  Hopefully as research continues at many medical facilities, a cure will be found that will help future generations.
